Hello everyone,

A quick reminder that the Monte Sano Art Festival is this weekend. Last year’s turnout was wonderful, and I’m looking forward to being back.

Over the past year, most of my time and energy has gone into developing new class projects and improving my teaching. 

Recently I’ve been exploring cat paintings, inspired by Endre Penovac. I’ll have several of those with me, and I’m planning to offer a cat‑painting class soon.

I’ve also been experimenting with abstract watercolor, focusing on mark‑making and a different creative process than my realistic work. An abstract watercolor class is coming as well.

After the festival, I’ll be reducing my teaching schedule a bit so I can spend more time developing new styles and getting out of the studio.
