Looking back at 2025

Hello everyone! As 2025 comes to an end, I wanted to share a little about my year.
This year began with a big decision: adding a second studio right across from my original one. There were plenty of trials and errors along the way. I managed to host group shows and run a figure drawing group. The group shows were a lot of fun, but I’ve decided not to host one in 2026 so I can focus more on painting. The figure drawing group is going strong thanks to dedicated drawing enthusiasts and the help of friends.
Between managing two studios, hosting events, and teaching many more classes, my schedule demanded a lot more commitment. I didn’t have as much energy left for my usual outdoor activities. Even so, I squeezed in a few backpacking trips, and one of them was truly unforgettable. It snowed heavily, and although it could have ended badly, we made it out safely with nothing more than sore muscles.
I’m hoping to spend more time outside again. It may require some sacrifice, but being outdoors is essential for my well‑being.
At the end of the year, I want to thank everyone who supported what I do. I’m also grateful for the people who have shown me what perseverance looks like. In a fast‑paced world where instant rewards are expected, I admire those who keep their own steady pace, unaffected by what others think.
Wishing you a peaceful, healthy, and creative 2026. Thank you for being part of this journey.
